what teadot uses, and where it stays

screen time
with your permission, teadot uses apple's screen time tools to show you your own weekly average and to limit the apps you choose. apple's system handles this data. teadot never reads, stores or sends your usage. the apps you pick are kept on your phone as private tokens that even teadot cannot turn back into app names.
steps and sleep
with your permission, teadot reads steps and sleep from apple health to work out your day. it only reads; it never writes to health. this data stays on your phone, is never shared, never sold and never used for advertising.
the numbers you give us
yesterday's screen time, your bedtime and your goal. stored on your phone only.
your city (optional)
only a city name, to show sunset times. you pick it from a list built into the app, so nothing is looked up online. teadot never asks for your location.
purchases
handled entirely by apple. we don't receive your name, email or payment details.
crash reports
only if you've allowed apple to share app analytics with developers. apple sends these anonymously; they contain no personal information.

this website

hosting
this site is hosted by netlify, inc. (usa). when you open a page, netlify's servers process technical data such as your ip address and browser type to deliver the page and keep it secure. we don't use this data ourselves. legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (art. 6(1)(f) gdpr). the transfer to the usa is covered by netlify's data processing agreement with standard contractual clauses.
fonts, cookies, tracking
fonts load from this site itself, not from google or anyone else. no cookies, no analytics, no tracking.
if you email us
we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them once the conversation is done. our mailbox is run by google (gmail). legal basis: art. 6(1)(b) and (f) gdpr.

what teadot doesn't do

deleting your data

delete teadot and everything it stored goes with it. we don't keep a copy. you can also withdraw health or screen time access anytime in your phone's settings.

your rights

under the gdpr you can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. because teadot keeps nothing on any server, we hold no personal data about you — but you're always welcome to write to us. you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

changes

if this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
